Junk Food artists were invited to exhibit their work alongside
DC Comics artists, including
Jim Lee, at
DC's "Darkness & Light" Exhibition, held at their L.A. headquarters. The opening reception was last night and we went along to check out the art and see our pieces, which had been inspired by
DC Comic characters such as
Batman,
Wonderwoman and for some more obscure characters such as Mr Mxyzrtkl. It was a great opportunity for the artists to think outside of the box with licensed characters that we ordinarily contain to a t-shirt graphic. The event had a great mix of sketch work, digital output and mixed media and all of the staff were decked out in
Junk Food Superhero tees! The artwork is expected to go on tour...more on this to come ;)
