JUNK FOOD X KIDSTOCK

This weekend LA held the 7th annual Kidstock Music and Arts Festival at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. It was a day full of music, crafts and awesome food, put on by One Voice LA to raise money for their Scholars Program. Junk Food served as the official t-shirt sponsor for Kidstock, and the t-shirts we designed were worn by all of the volunteers and were also available for sale at the event. At the end of the day about $300,000 was raised by all of the sponsors and attendees. With this money, One Voice LA will send 25 deserving kids to college this year to help them obtain a higher education and accomplish their dreams. What an amazing feeling!

This weekend Taylor Swift rocked her custom-made, bedazzled "Haters Gonna Hate" unicorn tee during her performance at the Billboard Music Awards. She definitely showed the haters when she took home 8 awards including Artist of the Year, Top Female Artist, Top Country Artist, and Top Digital Songs Artist.

She looked amazing in blue sparkles on the Red Carpet, and of course we loved her look during her performance of "22". Check it out! Go T-Swift!!

ROCK THE VOTE GIFTING SUITE AT LOLLAPALOOZA!

Bands and celebrities visiting the Lollapalooza music festival, stopped by the Hard Rock Hotel's  Rock The Vote Suite to pick up their official Scan To Vote t-shirt created by Junk Food Clothing, in collaboration with Rock The Vote, PromoJam, Threads for Thought, and RedLaser.

They were encouraging their fans to register to vote on their smartphone by easily scanning the t-shirt’s QR codes with their mobile phone.  Its so easy! Remember, these scan to vote tees are available to buy at your local Wholefoods store and at Threads for Thought.

FIONA APPLE IS BACK

A few of us from the Junk Food office went to see the incredible Fiona Apple play the Hollywood Palladium last night.  Been a big fan for a while, and the opportunity to see her play live doesn't come around that often so when she announced her tour we jumped at the chance to see her on stage.  She didn't disappoint...check out the video below of her performing in Oakland the night before...

VINTAGE GRATEFUL DEAD ARTWORK

Last week the legendary band The Grateful Dead, opened up their vast archive of artwork and media to the general public.  The online collection contains 45,000 pieces of digital content, from photographs to poster art, to ticket stubs.  Worth a look - these posters are just a taster of the insane psychedelic art on offer...
