WHO WORE IT BEST?

To work at Junk Food means to love vintage tees, so it's not uncommon to see JF employees regularly rocking a Junk Food tee at the office. These past few weeks, however, we've had quite a few cases of the matchy-matchies...

Steacy and Laurel were caught twinning in our Party Heathered Long Sleeve Pocket Tee (online now for $42),  Lucia, Janelle, and Michelle all wore our Lightning Bolt with Flocking V-Neck Tunic, and Cynthia and Katherine both had on our Side Saddle Striped Mickey Pullover (coming soon!). Take a look!

So what do you think...who wore it best??

JUNK FOOD LOVES CHUBBIES

The summer weather is heating up, and you know what that means...the perfect time for short shorts! If you thought short shorts were only for the ladies, you're wrong. Chubbies Shorts are perfect for guys who want to show off their thighs in the summertime.

Today some of the Junk Food staff got a shipment of these amazing shorts and of course that meant that it was photo shoot time. Chubbies go great with a casual Junk Food tee. Don't believe us? See for yourself!

Who wears short shorts?

UNEXPECTED VISITOR

...Junk Food fan Luke Sawicki turned up our head office last week eager to purchase a tee...until he realized that unfortunately we don't have a store here :(
To make up for it we gave him a tour of the office and gifted him with a vintage inspired Star Wars tee! He even got to meet our merchants Vic and Ryan and our product developer Alexis - lucky guy!!

MARIPOL IN THE JUNK FOOD OFFICE

Well look who stopped by the office this week to pay us a visit? Legendary artist, fashion designer, jewelery designer, stylist, art director and film maker Maripol visited L.A. and stopped by.

If you haven't heard of Maripol, you will almost certainly be familar with her work.  Remember Madonna's Like A Virgin era in the eighties wearing lace and dripping in crucifixes? That was the brainchild of Maripol.  She was responsible for creating and styling many of the now infamous looks from that era, that began on the streets of NYC and became a commercial success worldwide.  She influenced and worked with some of the most exciting talent of the time from Debbie Harry to Keith Haring to Jean Michel Basquiat. She was a visionary of the time and her style still lives on today.

DC ARTISTS GALLERY SHOW

Junk Food artists were invited to exhibit their work alongside DC Comics artists, including Jim Lee, at DC's "Darkness & Light" Exhibition, held at their L.A. headquarters.  The opening reception was last night and we went along to check out the art and see our pieces, which had been inspired by DC Comic characters such as Batman, Wonderwoman and for some more obscure characters such as Mr Mxyzrtkl.  It was a great opportunity for the artists to think outside of the box with licensed characters that we ordinarily contain to a t-shirt graphic. The event had a great mix of sketch work, digital output and mixed media and all of the staff were decked out in Junk Food Superhero tees!  The artwork is expected to go on tour...more on this to come ;)
What do you think of the artwork?
