TRICK OR TREAT

We really got into the spirit of things here at the Junk Food office and continued our Halloween festivities with a Halloween Throwdown!! Each department teamed up to create one delicious pumpkin based dessert and a pumpkin carving inspired by our licenses. The competition was fierce and in the days leading up to it we all masterminded our secret winning ideas!

Ian and Tristan hard at work carving for the Art and Merchant teams! Ian had an electric pumpkin carver at his disposable.....is that even allowed!?

Two thumbs up for the Pumpkin desserts...awesome way to spend a Monday afternoon!!!

THE PRETTIEST STREET ART YOU COULD IMAGINE

L.A. offers amazing examples of street art on every corner...but this is something else!!!
Danish/Czech artist Theresa Himmer created these sequin installations in Reykjavik, Iceland that are adorning local buildings.  Inspired by glaciers, volcanoes and waterfalls these sparkling pieces are pretty incredible against the already beautiful Icelandic backdrop.

Hoping that some of these make their way to L.A. soon...or maybe i should just go out and get creative with some glitter pens!!

VINTAGE PINS

Stumbled across an awesome blog today that has tons of vintage pins designs. Finding stuff like this is so helpful for coming up with ideas for our vintage tees! We want our Junk Food tees to be authentic so we spend a lot of time researching...coming across find like is helpful especially for our licenses....
